In-Person Counselling

Service Description

Sitting down with a counsellor offers more than conversation—it’s a collaborative process that rewires how we relate to stress, emotion, and meaning. Evidence shows that counselling can reduce anxiety and depression, improve emotional regulation, deepen self-understanding, and strengthen relationships. In person, the therapeutic space itself becomes part of the work: tone, posture, and presence speak where words fall short. Here, you’re not performing—you’re being met. Change begins not by fixing yourself, but by being seen, heard, and understood in real time.

Cancellation Policy

I offer face-to-face counselling in a quiet, private setting designed to support honest reflection and meaningful change. Our work together is collaborative, respectful, and paced according to your needs. Confidentiality: What you share in session is treated with care and discretion. Information is kept confidential except where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, where I am legally required to report (e.g. certain forms of abuse), or where de-identified details are discussed in professional supervision to support good practice. Sessions and fees: Standard sessions run for approximately 50–60 minutes. Current fees and available session lengths are listed on my booking information; you’re welcome to ask if you have any questions before we begin. Cancellations: If you need to reschedule or cancel, please provide as much notice as possible (at least 48 hours is appreciated). Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee, as that time has been set aside specifically for you. Contact between sessions: You’re welcome to contact me between sessions for brief, practical matters such as rescheduling. Therapeutic work is kept within session times, so I may not always be available immediately. Crisis support: My service is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, please contact: Emergency Services: 000 Lifeline (24/7): 13 11 14 By attending an in-person session, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to this in-person counselling policy.
